QCB unveils QAR 22 banknote at FIFA World Cup 2020

Qatar Central Bank (QCB) conducted an elaborate event to introduce their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 banknote formally. However, this was to celebrate the fact that this very prestigious event will be held there and to commemorate the same aptly.

The enormity and sheer scale can be judged by the fact that one of the persons attending the event was none other than His Excellency Sheikh Bander bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al Thani himself. Along with him were the Governor of Qatar Central Bank, His Excellency Hassan Al Thawadi, and other highly placed dignitaries. It was a moment of great pride for one and all belonging to Qatar. The real excitement was in the community of all of the football lovers and fans.

As for the highlights of the entire event, the opening speech was made by His Excellency Sheikh Bandar, who shared his pride and pleasure in the fact of Qatar being selected to host this most popular world tournament, and duly gave credit to all of those who were responsible for it, helping to make the whole of the middle-east and the Arab world share in the glory. The Governor, in his turn, attributed this momentous occasion to the coming together of the Qatar Central Bank, along with the SC and FIFA., in creating and delivering the unique banknote.

However, in his opinion, to bestow the appropriate kind of honor that this magnanimous event deserves, the note specially designed contains the logo mark of the FIFA World Cup 2022 that has been duly incorporated. It also contains images of both the Al Bayt Stadium, as well as the Lusail Stadium.
