Grizzlies Defeat Nets 120-84, Tying Summer League Score Record

On Tuesday, the Memphis Grizzlies made a tie with the LA Summer League, with Santi Aldama scoring 31 points and David Roddy adding 20 points in the game, claiming a victory by 120-84 over the Nets.  

The Memphis Grizzlies are a professional baseball team in Memphis, Tennessee, and they compete in the NBA (National Baseball Association). The refreshed Grizzlies players took the Cox Pavilion court on Tuesday after a full day’s rest, and the outcome was one of their best offensive performances of the Summer League.  

The Grizzlies never trailed, leading in double figures for over 33 minutes, hitting 12 three-pointers, had 31 assists, and shooting 59 percent on the field. The team matched the set record of the 2007 Denver Nuggets by 120 points.

The 6-ft-11 1st-round draft forward in 2021, Santi Aldama made twelve of fourteen, hit four of five from the 3-point range, blocked 3 shots, and captured 9 rebounds. The No. 10 2021 draft pick, Ziaire Williams, hit 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. 

The 6-ft-5, 255-pound forward, David Roddy, the No.23 pick overall in the draft from June, hit seven of 11 shots. Adding 11 points, Kenneth Lofton Junior hit 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Cameron Bouchea Thomas hit eleven of 13 and finished for Brooklyn with 29 big points. He was the No.27 overall pick in the 2021 draft and scored a minimum of 26 points in every game.

He played a total of 3 games in LA and averaged 28.7 in each game. Adding 13 points, Day’Ron Sharpe made 2 blocks and 9 rebounds, whereas David Duke Junior scored 12 points.
