The World Poker Tour and Wynn Las Vegas tie up for third time

The World Poker Tour and Wynn Las Vegas have forged an association for the third time to organize the WPT World Championship slated for the 3rd of December till the 23rd of December. The venue for the event will be the Las Vegas resort. This will be about Season XXIII.

In the words of the CEO of WPT, Adam Pliska, there is palpable excitement regarding the championship, and they have gone all out not to disappoint anyone, live up to their expectations, and more. In his opinion, Wynn Las Vegas is the ideal associate for this.

Last year, the event at Wynn Las Vegas attracted an unimaginable number of players globally and came with 33,172 prospective entrants. This paved the way for over $100 million in prize money that was given as awards to winners. Altogether, 23 tournaments were played throughout the event, and a $1 million prize pool was witnessed.

As per the Executive Director of Poker Operations at Wynn Las Vegas, Ryan Beauregard, they are highly honored to have received this wonderful opportunity to set up this world event for the third time. They will do whatever it takes to make it a roaring success and implement the many ideas they contemplate.

The year 2023 witnessed the breaking and creation of various records related to the marquee event. The $1,100 buy-in WPT Prime Championship was responsible for the over-expected number of entries, along with a collective prize pool amounting to $10 million. The $10,400 buy-in WPT World Championship had 3,835 entries and a prize pool of $40 million. At the end of it, Dan Sepiol walked off with the highest earnings, amounting to $ 5,282,954.
