Greektown Casino-Hotel has made its name across the globe as a luxury hotel. Visitors also know it as a one-stop destination for their favorite games like slots, tables, video poker, and restaurant servings.
The hotel does not simply stop there; and it offers 20,000 square feet of meeting space bundled with a lot of unique and exciting experiences right in the Greektown district of Detroit.
Greektown Casino-Hotel will be rebranded as Hollywood Casino with effect from May 01, 2022. The 100,000 sq feet of the area will also undergo major modifications under its renovation program that is worth $30 million.
All the changes and rebranding plans are currently subject to customary regulatory approvals.
The 30-story hotel in Detroit is expected to complete the redesigning of its guest rooms and suites in the coming months. Until now, the progress includes redesigning the hotel lobby into an open lobby cocktail bar.
Visitors will be able to enjoy food and beverages while spending a few hours at the game counters. Brands that are mapped into the rebranded Hollywood Casino are the Urban Cocktail and Rock Bar Lounges. The concept of Dunkin’ is not far away from entering the space either.
Greektown Casino’s Monroe Market food hall has been expanded to include a new Detroit Taco company. Prism, the premier steakhouse of Greektown Casino, will refresh its menu to serve its guests.
John Drake, the General Manager of Hollywood Casino, stated on this occasion that the rebranding of the casino would offer its guests the best of both worlds. John Drake added that they would be retaining the unique neighborhood charm while adding many new amenities that come as a part of being a member of Penn National’s flagship brand.
Hollywood Casino is eyeing going cashless as a major upgrade in its technological department. Under this approach, players would be able to connect the games with their mobile devices and add funds directly to the slots or table games.
The wallet will also enable players to collect their winnings and earn tier points.
Standing true to its rebranded name, Hollywood Casino has partnered with Detroit Music Hall to offer live music to its customers and a couple of comedy performances. The partnership will remain live throughout the 2022-2023 season.
Some of the shows will feature Wanda Sykes, Michael Bolton, Jim Brewer, Boys II Men, and America, among many others.
The completion of the rebranding program will be celebrated with two true Hollywood-style events.
A private VIP event will be organized on May 19, 2022, and a special community event will be organized on May 21, 2022. Both the events will witness a red-carpet-themed welcome for the guests.
These events will offer an opportunity to earn mychoice rewards like a trip to Las Vegas, luxury cruises, free slot play, and a Mercedes Benz lease. Hollywood Casino has committed to donating $10,000 to the Greektown Neighborhood Partnership.
